Juventus beat Maccabi Haifa

Turin - Juventus beat Maccabi Haifa 1-0 on Wednesday night to record its first win in Champions League Group A following draws against Bordeaux and Bayern Munich.

Defender Giorgio Chiellini scored the only goal of the game in the second half and Maccabi Haifa's Tiago Dutra was later red-carded for a foul on the Italy defender.

The result moves Juventus into second place in the group with five points.

Bordeaux is top with seven points after the French champions beat Munich 2-1 in the other group match on Wednesday.
