London - Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League tie against Porto at the Emirates Stadium with a hamstring injury, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger said on Monday.
"We cannot even take a gamble, so he is not available," Wenger said.
Spain midfield star Fabregas missed training on Monday after suffering a right hamstring injury that saw him limp off after scoring in the 3-1 Premier League victory over Burnley on Saturday.
It is the same injury that sidelined Fabregas at the turn of the year.
Veteran Arsenal defender Sol Campbell did train and looks as if he will recover in time from a groin problem in time to face Portuguese side Porto, who will kick-off in the second leg of this last-16 tie with a 2-1 lead.
