London - Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has been handed a two-game European suspension after being sent off in the Champions League loss to Inter Milan this month.
UEFA said on Tuesday it has also extended Drogba's period of probation by two years until July 2013.
He was given an initial two-year probation after his aggressive behaviour toward the referee last season when Chelsea were eliminated by Barcelona in the Champion League semi-finals.
Drogba will miss the first two matches of European club competition for which he is eligible next season.
He has three days to appeal the ban.
