Carvajal let off the hook

Madrid - Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal and Atletico Madrid's Mario Suarez and Miranda will escape further sanction after Tuesday's heated 0-0 draw in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, UEFA has confirmed.

Carvajal appeared to hit out at Atletico striker Mario Mandzukic as the two clashed inside the Real box midway through the second-half.

Both players also dismissed suggestions that the Spanish international fullback had bitten Mandzukic.
