Boy kills dad in football row

Luanda - A 17-year-old boy is alleged to have killed his own father on Thursday in Luanda, following an argument over the Spanish football and Angolan music, Angop has learned.

The information was released by Criminal Investigation Department officer, Carlos André, who said the incident occurred in the high density neighbourhood of Golfe II, in Luanda’s Belas district.

According to the source, the father and son started a domestic quarrel over who between Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona was better.

The officer said the argument got out of control and the son allegedly pulled a firearm and shot twice at his father, Valdete Franco, 48, who died on the spot.

The boy is reported to be at large.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will play in Spain's La Liga on Saturday at 23:00 SA time.
