Berlin - The president of football's governing body FIFA Joseph Blatter on Wednesday thanked IOC president Jacques Rogge for his support.
Blatter had earlier said that FIFA would ask an independent body to look into a controversial deal that allowed FIFA members to pay back 6.1 million dollars they had allegedly received in kick-backs from FIFA's former marketing partners, but remain anonymous.
Rogge said on Tuesday that he believed Blatter was doing the right thing.
Blatter thanked Rogge via Twitter. "(I) very much appreciate the support from the IOC president towards our current governance work," he said.
