Blackout on Chile training

Johannesburg - The Chilean national team has closed all their training sessions to the media and public ahead of their their international friendly against Bafana Bafana on Wednesday.

The South American visitor, who arrived at OR International Airport on Monday, will be hosted by South Africa at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday.

Kick off is at 20:30.

Tickets are selling at R30 for the grandstands and R20 for alternative seating. They are already available at Computickets, Checkers and Shoprite. The public is advised to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment as there is limited seating at the Stadium.

Argentinean coach Marcelo Bielsa, who invariably plays a 3-3-1-3 formation, has brought with him a mixture of youth and experience.

Chile is currently fourth in South America’s 2010 World Cup qualifiers, three points clear of Uruguay in fifth.

Goalkeepers: Claudio Bravo (Real Sociedad, Spain), Raul Olivares (Colo, Colombia).

Defenders: Gonzalo Jara (Colo, Colombia), Osvaldo Gonzalez (Universidad de Chile), Waldo Ponce (Velez Sarsfield, Argentina), Ismael Fuentes (Atlas, Mexico).

Midfielders: Arturo Vidal (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Gonzalo Fierro (Flamengo, Brazil), Mark Gonzalez (Real Betis, Spain, Carlos Camona (Reggina, Italy), Jorge Valdivia (Al-Ain, UAE), Marco Estrada, Manuel Iturra (both Universidad de Chile), Mauricio Isla (Udinese, Italy), Pedro Morales (Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Rodrigo Miller (Colo, Colombia).

Strikers: Humberto Suazo (Monterrey, Mexico), Alexis Sanchez (Udinese Italy), Fabian Orellana (Audax, Italy), Emilio Universidad de Chile).
