Zurich - FIFA is trying to proceed with business as usual amid its biggest ever corruption scandal and uncertainty over next week's presidential election.

Mohamed bin Hammam is scheduled to arrive in Zurich on Thursday, a day after FIFA accused the Qatari official of trying to bribe voters in the Caribbean in his campaign to unseat Sepp Blatter as president.

Bin Hammam was expected to attend a FIFA finance meeting, which would usually be addressed by Blatter.

FIFA has not commented on how the scandal could affect next Wednesday's vote.

Bin Hammam and FIFA vice president Jack Warner face an ethics hearing on Sunday to face allegations of bribery stemming from the Qatari's campaign trip to Trinidad two weeks ago.

The accusations were leveled by American FIFA executive committee member Chuck Blazer.
