Johannesburg - Benni McCarthy could return to former club FC Porto, according to reports abroad.
The Bafana Bafana international is unhappy at current club Blackburn Rovers due to a lack of game time at the Ewood Park club.
The striker netted his first goal of the season this past weekend in a 1-1 draw with Wigan, which earned McCarthy another start against Sunderland on Monday and despite setting up Rovers’ first goal, the 32-year-old was substituted in the second half.
McCarthy has also been linked with a move to fellow English Premiership side Fulham.
