Benni, Josephs back for Bucs

Johannesburg - The Orlando Pirates duo of Benni McCarthy and Moeneeb Josephs have returned from injury and are available for selection, as the team looks to see out the 2012/13 campaign.

According to the soccerladuma.co.za website, the two players have been on the sidelines nursing their respective injuries for some time, however will now be able to help the team defend their league crown and succeed in the CAF Champions League.

According to the club’s official website, the two players have returned to boost the squad ahead of their trip to Zambia, for their tie against Zanaco FC.

“The Orlando Pirates technical team has received timely boost ahead of their trip to Zambia with the return of Benni McCarthy and Moeneeb Josephs. The club leave South Africa on Thursday morning where they will lock horns with the Zambian Premier League Champions on Saturday,” reads on Pirates’ official website.

Bucs are hoping to continue with their impressive run in the Champions League when they face Zanaco of Zambia this weekend. The Roger de Sa-coached outfit beat Djabal FC with a 9-0 aggregate score line at the preliminary stage of the competition.
