Paris - David Beckham will train for the first time with his new Paris Saint-Germain teammates on Wednesday next week, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.

"He is coming on Wednesday, he will start work with the team and we are going to see what his physical condition is like for possibly the match against Sochaux," said Ancelotti, after his team beat Bastia 3-1 to go six points clear in Ligue 1.

Beckham looks likely to travel with the squad to Spain for Tuesday's Champions League last-16, first leg clash against Valencia.

"I think he'll come and watch the game," added Ancelotti.
