Milan - AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli has been fined €10 000 by the Italian league for making a vulgar gesture at Inter Milan fans while walking off the pitch after Sunday's derby.
Meanwhile, Inter were fined €50 000 for racist chants and insulting banners held aloft by its fans directed at Balotelli, who is of Ghanaian descent.
Milan were also fined €10 000 for an insulting banner that their fans unveiled.
In the second half of the match, which ended 1-1, Balotelli held a finger to his mouth toward Inter fans, signaling for quiet.
Inter supporters also waved inflated bananas and whistled at Balotelli.
Balotelli played for Inter from 2006-10, helping the club to a treble in 2010. He already has four goals for Milan after joining from Manchester City last month.
