Shakes overhauls Bafana for Ghana tie

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba has named the starting line-up that will play Ghana on Tuesday in a friendly at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Kick-off at 19:00.

Mashaba has made a number of changes to the team from the one that played Burkina Faso last Saturday in a 2018 Soccer World Cup qualifier.

"There were always going to be changes in personnel but we thought because of the travelling, we needed some fresh legs hence we went for this team. It is a strong side that should compete," said Mashaba.

Brighton Mhlongo will start in goals while the back four comprises Abbubaker Mobara, Isaac Nhlapo, captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and Thabo Matlaba.

The midfield is made up of Ayanda Patosi, Oupa Manyisa, Dean Furman and May Mahlangu while gangling Eleazer Rodgers and Sibusiso Vilakazi will spearhead the strike force.
