Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise says that team-mate and Bafana winger Percy Tau is getting better with each training session and each match.
Tau, who has just broken into the senior national team, netted his first goal for Bafana Bafana in the 3-1 win over Guinea-Bissau on Saturday.
The 22-year-old winger-cum-striker has made huge strides in his career over the last year and played a major part in Sundowns winning the 2016 CAF Champions League.
Tau has scored nine goals in all competitions this season and has an assist count in the double figures.
Veteran former Bafana Bafana midfielder Modise is pleased to see his young club-mate making such an impact and also had words of praise for three other Masandawana players in the national team - Tebogo Langerman, Themba Zwane and Hlompho Kekana.
"Look he (Tau) has done well," Modise was quoted saying on his personal website.
"He is growing training by training and game by game. Now we see him in national colours and he scores a goal, amazing. Well done to him and all the young guys in the squad.
"The game was a great one. The team went out there and got a win. Praise must be given to the lads but most importantly I am proud of my team-mates who are part of the team.
"I think that they are displaying the same effort as they do in the team," added Modise.
South Africa play the second of their two international friendly matches when they take on Angola in East London on Tuesday night.
Sundowns face Kaizer Chiefs in a league encounter on Saturday evening.
