Mbalula: Bafana are a bunch of winners!

Cape Town - Former South African Minister of Sport, Fikile Mbalula, has declared Bafana Bafana a "Bunch of Winners" following their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations victory over Nigeria.

In Stuart Baxter's first match at the helm, Bafana picked up three vital points thanks to their 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday.

Mbalula, now the South Africa Police Minister, took to Twitter immediately following the final whistle to hail the team.

Mbalula famously lambasted the very same Bafana side back in January 2014 when they lost 3-1, ironically to Nigeria, in their African Nations Championship clash at the Cape Town Stadium, calling them a "bunch of losers".

Baxter will be thrilled with the three away points as they look to reach the 2019 African showpiece to be held in Cameroon.
