FIFA president visits SAFA

Cape Town - FIFA president Gianni Infantino visited SAFA House on Tuesday, February 21 where he was taken around the precinct by SAFA president Danny Jordaan.

According to the official SAFA website, Infantino is in the country for the FIFA Summit which will run until Thursday at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Jordaan took Infantino through the SAFA House which will also be the new FIFA regional offices.

There are only two FIFA offices in Africa - in Dakar, Senegal and the one in South Africa.

The FIFA president praised SAFA as a professional organisation and which other African federations must emulate.

He also praised the association on setting up the SAFA National Technical Centre which will house all national teams and work as Centre of Excellence on all Technical matters.
