Cape Town - While Stuart Baxter has praised the Bafana Bafana players for their positive energy, Tokelo Rantie hopes he can repeat his 2014 deficit against Nigeria.
"What I have liked about this group of players is their fantastic attitude and energy," said Baxter as quoted by the official SAFA website.
"You can see this group of players want to do great things for their country and are intent on leaving a lasting impression."
South Africa are tasked with the challenge of facing the Super Eagles at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo State in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier for the 2019 edition to be held in Cameroon.
Meanwhile, Rantie - who tormented the Super Eagles and denied them a chance to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Equatorial Guinea - said he was relishing the prospect of a repeat of the 2014 exploits at the same venue.
"I am enjoying my game again and if picked for Saturday’s game, I will welcome the challenge," Rantie said.
"I believe in hard work and that has always been the basis of my game."
Kick off is at 18:00 (SA time).
