Cape Town - South Africa international Sibusiso Vilakazi says the whole team are determined to work for each other as they look to thrive under the stewardship of new coach Shakes Mashaba.
Bafana Bafana have already departed for Pointe Noire ahead of Saturday's 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo, who are currently top of Group A after seeing off Nigeria and Sudan in their two openers.
And, while Bidvest Wits striker Vilakazi knows they are in for a tough encounter this weekend, he remains confident the side are headed in the right direction.
"We want to climb the rankings in Africa," he told The Sowetan.
"Everyone has said they want a change, so we have that motivation, and a good coach pushing us in that direction."
He continued: "Congo being number one (in Group A); it's going to be a huge task playing them away in a hostile place, and a very humid and hot place.
"But I think we have a bunch of good players who are able to work for the nation and for their families."
