Johannesburg - Golden Bafana Bafana winger Siphiwe Tshabalala might join English Premiership side Everton as early as next month, reports the Sowetan.
Goal.com on Thursday reported that Everton are plotting a £2.5 million swoop for Tshabalala as a replacement for compatriot Steven "Schillo" Pienaar.
Pienaar, who was not available for comment, is reported to be reluctant to sign a new contract. It expires at the end of the season. He is believed to be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tshabalala was not available for comment but his manager Jazzman Mahlagane confirmed the huge demand for his player in Europe.
"I'm not aware of the interest from Everton, but I can confirm that I will be flying to London this weekend for a series of meetings," said Mahlakgane last night.
"I can confirm that there are several clubs in the Premiership who want Tshabalala, Itumeleng Khune, Teko Modise and Tefu Mashamaite during the January window period.
"I can also confirm that Turkish side Sivasspor have indicated to us that they want to present a revised offer to Chiefs to sign Shabba.
"We will make an announcement once everything has been finalised, that will be done jointly with the respective clubs of the players involved in the transfer deals."
