Johannesburg - Pitso Mosimane has announced the Bafana Bafana squad to play against Sierra Leone next month in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Teko Modise, whose form continues to be a subject of intense debate, made the cut and he is part of the 22-man squad selected by 'Jingles'.
However, Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, who has been impressive in both the MTN8 and the league has been overlooked once again.
Mosimane, who guided Bafana to a 2-0 victory over Niger in the first match of the qualifiers, offered an explanation behind bringing in a third goalkeeper for the October 10 trip to Freetown.
He said: "I have brought in three goalkeepers because my experience has taught me to take three goalkeepers to Africa.
"I remember when we played in Nigeria sometime ago we had a problem, because Itumeleng Khune was sick and Moeneeb Josephs had asthma, so we were in a difficult situation that's why I have brought in Darren Keet from Bidvest Wits, who is in my vision for 2014."
On the squad as a whole and the daunting clash, Mosimane added: "I think we have a good team, a confident team and we are aware the last time we played there we lost 1-0 via a penalty, but my players have the experience of playing in the World Cup.
"I don't fear going to Sierra Leone. We are taking a cautious approach by respecting the opponent, but not over respecting them. I fancy our chances and I think we can bring the results."
