Modise has been left out of recent squads by national team boss Pitso Mosimane but returns for the vital African Nations Cup qualifier against Niger on September 4.
Bafana Bafana can qualify for the 2012 tournament with a win and provided Sierra Leone don't get a result against Egypt.
The Navigator is preaching caution ahead of the tie, however, after admitting that it will be tough be beat Mena away from home.
After the squad announcement, Modise, said: "These are the rewards of working hard.
"I knew my turn would come because I have been part of the national team set-up for a long time. If I'm selected to play against Niger I will just go out there and contribute to the success of my country. We are going to Niamey with a win in mind to consolidate our top spot on the log.
"We are well aware that Niger are also desperate for a win, so we cannot afford to underestimate them.
"We are playing a team that has won all their games at home. It is important for us to win away from home in an official fixture as we have done it in a friendly against Tanzania in May. This is our chance to wrap it up before our last game against Sierra Leone."
