Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise is confident Bafana
Bafana can do the country proud as they prepare to jet off to the 2015
Africa Cup of Nations.
The latest installment of Africa's showpiece tournament is just a few days away from kicking off, and South Africa's preparations so far have seen them draw 1-1 against Cameroon, while they next face Gabon on Wednesday.
And, as Shakes Mashaba's men prepare to leave for Equatorial Guinea, Sundowns skipper Modise has wished the players and technical staff all the best as they look to replicate their AFCON title-winning feat of 1996.
"The 2015 African Cup of Nations will take place shortly. Africa is expected to showcase the talent brewed from the African soil. Football is what we live for and it is exciting to know that our national team will be taking part in the tournament," Modise told his official website.
"Shakes Mashaba and the boys have been doing well. We qualified for the AFCON and have been preparing for the group stages of the greatly anticipated competition.
"Recently Bafana drew against Cameroon in Gabon following a round of good results in the build-up. The friendly match was one that indicated that we are not far from the goal of doing well in the tournament. I hope that the boys will make us proud as a nation and I wish them all the luck."
