Cape Town - Shakes Mashaba has announced his squad to face Sudan and Nigeria next month and Sport24 picks its starting XI.

Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has revealed the names of the players he trusts with the difficult task of overcoming Sudan and Nigeria in the national side's first two AFCON qualifiers.

With that squad in mind, Sport24 has chosen it's starting XI to face Sudan in Khartoum on September 5.

Bafana Bafana starting XI:

1. Itumeleng Khune (captain)
2. Anele Ngcongca
3. Thulani Hlatshwayo
4. Eric Mathoho
5. Thabo Matlaba
6. Ayanda Patosi
7. Dean Furman
8. Kamo Mokotjo
9. Oupa Manyisa
10. Mandla Masango
