CAPE TOWN — Bafana Bafana national team coach Shakes Mashaba named a full-strength Bafana Bafana squad ahead of their Afcon qualifier against Gambia yesterday.
The national team are set to face the Scorpions in Durban on Saturday, June 13 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
According to Bafana Bafana’s official Twitter account, Mashaba has included Tefu Mashamaite and Itumeleng Khune in the squad along with notable surprises such as Thulani Serero, May Mahlangu and Ayanda Patosi.
The squad includes a number of players who did duty in the national side’s poor Cosafa Cup campaign, with the likes of Marc van Heerden, Gift Motupa, Clayton Daniels and Jackson Mabokgwane handed another chance to show their worth to Mashaba.
