Shakes: We came for the 3 points

Sudan - Shakes Mashaba has praised his young players’ attitude ahead of their AFCON qualifying duel against Sudan in Khartoum.

“They are young and raring to give everything for the country. That is the attitude I like from players,” said Mashaba.

According to KickOff, Mashaba has made it clear that Bafana Bafana’s focus is getting ‘three points’ and get their qualifying campaign off to a good start.

“We would want to open this qualifying round of matches with three points. That is what we came here for - a win,” said the 64-year-old.

Mashaba reveals that he will implement his team’s announcements earlier than usual so that the starting XI could get used to conditions and prepare them mentally.

Bafana will take on Sudan in Khartoum on Friday, September 5 at 19:00 SA time, before hosting Nigeria on Wednesday, September 10 (20:00) at the Cape Town Stadium in their first two 2015 AFCON qualifiers.
