Johannesburg - Siphiwe Tshabalala wants Bafana Bafana to finish their international year in style against USA at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Kaizer Chiefs left-winger has been handed the vice-captaincy for the clash and wants the national team to continue their good run of form, which sees them unbeaten under coach Pitso Mosimane.
There has been a great response to the friendly thus far, with 46 000 tickets sold out of the 50 000 that were made available.
And 'Shabba' is looking forward to entertaining Capetonians at the World Cup venue.
"It will be a tough game for us, but we are ready as a team and are up for the challenge," he said.
"We are missing four regulars, but still have a very good team so we want a positive result.
"It is our last game of the year, so we want to end on a high and give the fans a good game."
Tshabalala will be Steven Pienaar's deputy for the armband, with the Everton midfielder expected to touch down in the Mother City on Monday afternoon.
Striker Davide Somma, who has earned his first call-up, has landed already along with Tsepo Masilela.
Fellow overseas-based stars Kagisho Dikgacoi, Anele Ngcongca, Bernard Parker, Siboniso Gaxa and Daylon Classen are also in camp.
The only player who is expected to link up with the squad on Tuesday morning is Bevan Fransman.
