Serero back in Bafana frame

Johannesburg - Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Thulani Serero could still come into contention to play in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Soweto-born playmaker has been out of action for two months after injuring his groin in a league match against ADO Den Haag.

It has now been revealed, however, that Serero is back in training, albeit not in full contact sessions.

Prior to his injury, the 22-year-old had been getting increasingly more game time for the Dutch giants and had also become more and more important within the Bafana Bafana set-up.

Serero scored 17 goals in 63 matches for Ajax Cape Town before moving to the Amsterdam ArenA in 2011.
