Segolela: I'm very happy

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana winger Tlou Segolela was pleased with his performance as he struck twice to hand South Africa a 2-0 win over Lesotho in an international friendly on Sunday.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Orlando Pirates man netted his first and second international goals in the game, and admits that it will boost his confidence ahead of their crunch 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

"I'm very happy with the way I performed and it was a good confidence booster for me. I'm pleased with the win," he said.

Explaining his goals, he continued, "It went wide to Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala) and he put in the cross and I just tapped it in. With the second one, the keeper didn't handle the ball very well and I just hit it with my left and it went in."

Looking ahead to their matches against Central Africa Republic and Ethiopia, he added, "Obviously I am looking forward to the upcoming fixtures. As you know, it is so important for us to qualify for Brazil."
