SAFA to make AFCON statement

Cape Town - The South African Football Association (SAFA) is set to hold a press conference to discuss the situation regarding AFCON 2015.

Morocco reportedly withdrew as hosts of AFCON 2015 due to fears regarding the spread of the Ebola virus. Read that story here.

South Africa, who have twice stepped in as emergency hosts, and Ghana were thrust into the spotlight as possible host countries before Morocco denied the reports that suggested they refused to host the tournament.

SAFA are now set to host a press conference on Friday in order to release a statement regarding the speculation surrounding the hosting of AFCON 2015.
