Reading role excites Khumalo

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana defender Bongani Khumalo admits he can gain invaluable experience while under the guidance of Championship side Reading.

The former SuperSport United captain made the move to Europe with Tottenham at the beginning of 2011, but was immediately loaned out to Preston North End.

Four months later and he finds himself on a season-long with the Royals, and the 24-year-old insists he is looking to make the most of his time at the Madejski Stadium.

"I am starting to get into the team more and I am happy with that as it will help my career over there get better and better," he told The Citizen.

"Reading is a massive club despite the fact that we are a tier below the elite division.

"I believe its a good side for me to improve and get better as a player."
