Bournemouth - English Championship side AFC Bournemouth have announced that they have smashed their transfer fee to sign Bafana Bafana striker Tokelo Rantie from Malmo.
According to a statement on the club's official website, although the fee is undisclosed it is believed to be in the region of in excess of £2.2 million.
"AFC Bournemouth has agreed a deal to take South African international striker Tokelo Rantie to the Goldsands Stadium.
"The 22-year-old joins the Cherries for an undisclosed fee from Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmo FF on a four year deal, subject to international clearance and work permit.
"The Cherries fought off interest from a host of other clubs to secure the signing of the forward, who only joined Champions League chasers Malmo permanently in April having impressed whilst on loan from Orlando Pirates.
"Rantie will not feature in tonight’s (Wednesday) Capital One Cup tie at Watford, and will link up with the squad later this week," read the full statement.
