Pitso set to get understudy

Johannesburg - The South African Football Association (SAFA) could be set to appoint a coach to work under the current head coach, Pitso Mosimane.

SAFA’s deputy president, Mandla Mazibuko, said that one of the many solutions to help Bafana in the future is to appoint someone as an understudy to Mosimane, who can help him run the national team.

Mazibuko did not want to give too many details surrounding the idea as he said that it is just one of the many things that they have discussed. It is thought that if someone, probably a youngster with experience, is brought in then they would be likely to do what Mosimane himself did while understudying Carlos Parreira and Joel Santana.

Mazibuko stated, “Remember it is not yet the final decision, but it is still in discussion.”
