Johannesburg - Pitso Mosimane has hit out at Golden Arrows coach Zoran Filipovic for his criticism of the Bafana boss' selection of Siyabonga Sangweni.
The defender refused to train with his club in protest of a failed move to Kaizer Chiefs and was selected for the squad to play Niger despite a lack of fitness.
Filipovic told News Time: "For myself it was better for him to stay with us because the guy needs more physical training. Even at our training, he was on his own because he is not on the same level as the other players."
And Mosimane responded by adding: " You have to see the bigger picture because we need these players if we are to qualify for the African Nations Cup. We have to support these guys.
"I am a professional coach and I cannot be worried by what other teams are doing. I am not going to pick his team for him and I am going to concentrate on what I am doing."
