Officials delay Bafana kick-off

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana’s opening 2017 AFCON qualifier against Gambia on Saturday will now kick off at 19:00.

The Group M clash at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium was originally due to kick off at 15:00, but SAFA have confirmed via their Twitter account that the match officials were running late arriving in Durban.

Madagascan official Hamada El Moussa Nampiandraza and his team were reportedly due to arrive in Durban on Friday night, but delays meant that they could only get there by 16:00 on Saturday. 

On Friday, Shakes Mashaba announced his starting lineup for the match.

Itumeleng Khune, Anele Ngcongca (c), Rivaldo Coetzee, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Thabo Matlaba, Andile Jali, May Mahlangu, Thulani Serero, Oupa Manyisa,Ayanda Patosi, Thamsanqa Gabuza

Reserves: Jackson Mabokgwane, Clayton Daniels, Bongani Zungu, Mandla Masango, Thuso Phala, Sphelele Ntshangase, Bongi Ntuli
