Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Bongi Ntuli, has spoken out about the welcomed surprise of his recent Bafana Bafana call up after not even expecting to be in the running.

Ntuli was on loan at AmaZulu for the second half of the 2014/15 season after he failed to make his mark for Sundowns, having signed for them six months before.
The former Golden Arrows player managed to score six goals for his former club’s rivals, AmaZulu, this past season.
He exclaimed his surprise at the call up when speaking to the official Usuthu website:
“This time I did not expect the call up at all.
“I know that I worked hard at AmaZulu and gave it my best, but just did not realize that it will catch the eyes of Shakes Mashaba.
“It was a great season for me where I had to work extra hard and gain my form back and I think all that hard work has paid off,” he said.
“I am grateful and I just have to continue working hard and proving my worth. There are many other good players that are being called up, so one must really be prepared to work.”
Ntuli was one of the few unexpected inclusions in Mashaba’s squad, alongside Swallows striker, Vuyisile Wana, and former Baroka FC striker, Gift Motupa, who has just recently been signed by Pirates.
