According to Soccer Laduma, the 19-year-old midfielder was informed about his squad inclusion on Thursday morning.

Reports indicate that Kaizer Chiefs have withdrawn duo Erick Mathoho and Brilliant Khuzwayo while Wits have pulled Jabulani Shongwe and Thulani Hlatshwayo from the national squad ahead of the match against Ivory Coast on Sunday, November 30 in the Nelson Mandela Challenge.

“We’ve agreed to release Siya and Phumlani, who got a call up this morning however Tyson and Jabu will not be travelling to the national team.” said Wits’ COO, Jonathan Schloss.

Bafana and Ivory Coast are set to go head-to-head for the silverware at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
