Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana forward Sthembiso Ngcobo is hoping to play alongside Katlego Mphela against Ghana at Soccer City on Wednesday.
Ngcobo has impressed since joining Kaizer Chiefs from Free State Stars, scoring vital goals in pre-season and earning a national team call as a result.
The 26-year-old now hopes to learn from his favourite forward in Mzansi - Mphela, and is relishing the chance to run out in attack with the Mamelodi Sundowns hitman.
"In my opinion, Katlego is one of the best strikers in the country," Ngcobo told the media on Tuesday.
"I look up to Katlego and I would like to be a clinical finisher just like him.
"I will learn a lot playing with him and I am looking forward to playing in tandem with him if I get the chance to do so on Wednesday. It will be a real honour for me."
After his impressive start to life at Naturena, Ngcobo hopes he will be able to carry that form forward and perform whilst in the colours of Bafana Bafana.
"A lot of good things have happened for me in the last week," he added.
"I am happy with what I have achieved with Chiefs so far and on a club level I hope that this is just the start.
"I want to do the same for the national team."
