New Bafana manager named

Johannesburg - The South African Football Association (SAFA) has appointed Barney Kujane as an interim manager for Bafana Bafana. He will be assisted by the team’s operations officer Levy Ramajoe.

Kujane’s appointment follows the resignation of Bafana assistant manager Gugu Marawa.

SAFA CEO Leslie Sedibe thanked Marawa for her contribution during her stay with the Association, and he wished her well in her career prospects.

Kujane’s operations are already in full swing preparing for Bafana’s international friendly match against Ghana on August 11 at Soccer City.

"The team management have prepared a full program ahead of the match against Ghana. Our head coach Pitso Mosimane will make the announcement of the team Thursday (August 5). The team will be based at the Southern Sun Grayston in Sandton and will train at Sturrock Park," explained Sedibe.

Tickets for the Bafana-Ghana match are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers Stores.

Tickets cost R100 and kick off time is 20:35.
