Cape Town - Nigeria international Ahmed Musa has admitted to being disturbed
after hearing about the passing of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo
Meyiwa.
Meyiwa, who played for Orlando Pirates, was gunned down while visiting his singer girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus, Johannesburg on Sunday evening.
Musa passed on his condolences and saluted the South African goal-minder, whom he would have faced for the second time in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
"I was shocked when I heard about the South Africa goalkeeper's death on Sunday night. In fact I am still in shock," the CSKA Moscow forward told AfricanFootball.
"I remember he was in goal against us in the Nations Cup qualifier in Cape Town. He was such a talented goalkeeper and even stopped us from getting a win in that match with some big saves.
"This is a big loss to the entire black race. My heart goes out to Orlando Pirates, his family, South Africans and the entire football family."
The Super Eagles are scheduled to host Bafana Bafana in the last AFCON Group A qualifying encounter in Uyo on November 19.
