Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana hitman Katlego Mphela was unable to hide his joy after his goal gave South Africa a 1-0 win over Ghana.
The Mamelodi Sundowns striker netted the only goal of the game at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night to increase his tally to 17 in just 36 games for the national side.
The former SuperSport United ace has recently been linked with a move to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers and despite missing a few chances, he did his chances of a transfer no harm.
"I am very happy, I mean it was our first game, especially me in terms of a competitive game," he said after the game.
"I was a bit sluggish to start with, I got two chances and missed them, but I managed to score the third one.
"To score my 17th goal in my 36th appearance, I mean what can one say, it is a great achievement for me."
