Johannesburg - Soccer veteran John Moshoeu wants to see Benni McCarthy and Lucky Lekgwathi also called up into the Bafana Bafana squad, according to the Sowetan.
This follows the return of free-scoring striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, a decision that got a big thumbs up from Moshoeu.
Moshoeu, himself a former Bafana star who only retired from PSL football at 42, said he was highly impressed by the massive contribution by the older players this season.
"It hurts to see Bafana Bafana not doing well, but I'm happy we have Siyabonga Nomvethe back. We've had a problem with scoring goals for a long time, Siyabonga has been doing well in the PSL and it's a good idea to recall him."
Bafana play Ethiopia in their first 2014 Soccer World Cup qualifier at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday.
