Mokotjo makes Bafana XI

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has made three changes to the squad to face Honduras at the Olympico Metropolitan Stadium.

According to SAFA website, Jabulani Shongwe, Ayanda Patosi and Kamohelo Mokotjo are all brought into the side that did duty against Costa Rica last week.

The trio replace Bongani Zungu, George Lebese and Sibusiso Vilakazi in the starting lineup.

Mashaba's side will be hoping to make it two wins from their two Central American friendlies after a lone Andile Jali strike was good enough to see off the threat posed by Costa Rica.

The match is scheduled to take place in San Pedro Sula, the Central American country’s second biggest city.

Kick-off on Wednesday (October 13) is at 02:00 SA time.

Bafana Bafana XI:

Itumeleng Khune (captain), Anele Ngcongca, Rivaldo Coetzee, Erick Mathoho, Mosa Lebusa, Andile Jali, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Mandla Masango, Thulani Serero, Jabulani Shongwe, Ayanda Patosi

Substitutes:

Jackson Mabokgwane, Ronwen Williams, Siyabonga Nhlapo, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Clayton Daniels, Muzi Mashaba, Dean Furman, George Lebese, Bongani Zungu, Sibusiso Vilakazi

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
