Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach, Gordon Igesund, was forced to make numerous changes to his original squad scheduled to tour Down Under in Australasia. With the recent withdrawal of Teko Modise, he now has to make yet another adjustment.
The Soccer-Laduma website reports that the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, who was called up to replace the injured Andile Jali, has confirmed that he had plans prior to Friday, and will not take part in the tour.
Igesund told Modise that he could join the squad if he did not have any other plans.
Speaking to the club's official website he said: “It is always an honour to be called up to represent your country, and I will always be honoured to get another chance to play for Bafana.”
The Bafana Bafana squad will board tomorrow for their Down Under tour of Australia and New Zealand.
