Mnyamane thankful for opportunity

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana’s Thabo Mnyamane says he is thankful for the opportunity to represent his country and be a source of inspiration for others.

The 22-year-old AmaTuks striker was playing for North-West University in the Varsity Cup only a short while ago and his rise to Bafana Bafana has been nothing short of remarkable.

“I was at North-West University studying Sport Science, my coach from where I am from got me a full scholarship there to play football and it provided a good platform,” he told Sport24.

“I am going to complete my studies but I might look for a change away from Sports Science, maybe in a couple of years.”

Mnyamane’s recognises that his story gives hope to many aspiring footballers who get lost in the system and he says he is grateful for that.

“It feels good to inspire people, and one thing I can say is that I am very thankful for the opportunity to do so.
