Mkhalele in Germany completing coaching course

Cape Town – Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Helman Mkhalele is in Germany for a three-week high-level coaching course with the German Football Association.

Along with the ‘Midnight Express’ former Banyana Banyana captain and currently assistant coach of the same team, Desiree Ellis together with former midfielder Maud Khumalo are also in Germany to complete the course.

The trio left last Saturday.

“To compete with the rest of the world, we need to arm ourselves with great coaching brains; that is why we won’t hesitate to send our representatives when such opportunities arise,” said Fran Hilton-Smith, Assistant Technical Director for Women’s Football as quoted by SAFA.

“All three are the future coaches of this country, so it was only natural that they should go and increase their knowledge so they can plough back when they return.”
