Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana’s first choice goalkeeper, Ithumeleng Khune, has kept a clean sheet in his last four appearances for the national team in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
On Sunday, the Pitso Mosimane-coached team takes on Group G’s second placed team, Niger, in Niamey and the Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper says they have to be strong in this all important game, both mentally and physically.
He said that if they play the way they did in Sierra Leone and Egypt then they have the chance of winning in Niger’s capital.
"In Egypt we had many scoring chances and if we had scored one of them the story would have been different now. In Sierra Leone the conditions were tough but we came back with a draw which was not bad.
“We have two games to go now and winning both of them is our main mission. If we can be strong mentally and physically in this Niger game we can come back with all the three points. But no matter how hard things could be, we are not losing in Niger. I won't allow them to score past me. Not at all," Khune said.
