Masilela ruled out for Bafana

Johannesburg - Defender Tsepo Masilela has been withdrawn from the 23-man Bafana Bafana squad with a knee injury.

Bafana team management confirmed in a statement on Sunday that Masilela had been replaced by Tebogo Langerman in the squad for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic in Cape Town on March 23.

Masilela missed Kaizer Chiefs' 2-0 win over Polokwane City in their Nedbank Cup last 16 encounter in Durban on Saturday.

The national squad is expected to arrive in Cape Town on Monday afternoon.

Bafana Bafana squad:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune, Senzo Meyiwa, Wayne Sandilands

Defenders: Morgan Gould, Siyabonga Sangweni, Thabo Nthethe, Anele Ngcongca, Siyanda Xulu, Thabo Matlaba, Tebogo Langerman

Midfielders: Kagisho Dikgacoi, Dean Furman, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Oupa Mayisa, May Mahlangu, Daylon Claasen, Lerato Chabangu, Thuso Phala, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Daine Klate

Forwards: Bernard Parker, Dino Ndlovu, Tokelo Rantie
