Masilela happy to be back

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs left back Tsepo Masilela is back in action after a long lay-off due to injury.

According to the Soccerladuma.co.za website, the 27-year-old’s come-back to Stuart Baxter’s starting line-up has been welcomed by the Bafana Bafana set-up, with the former Getafe player receiving a call-up to Gordon Igesund’s squad for the international friendly against Malawi on December 22.

Masilela said that he is happy to be back from injury and thanked his team-mates for their support in his recovery and his time on the sidelines. He said that the competition within the Amakhosi squad has helped him reagin his form, apart from hard work.

"You know it is always good to be back in action and to make things even better I have been called to the national team. That's so good for me and it is all because of hard work and dedication.

“I have worked very hard and my teammates have also helped me. Yes there is tough competition in my position and that's what motivates me to keep on working hard, because I compete with good players. But, all-in-all, I am happy that I am back," Masilela concluded.
