Mashaba wary of Angola

Johannesburg - Ahead of their next 2016 African Nations Championship qualifier against Angola, Bafana Bafana head coach Shakes Mashaba admitted that it will not be a walk in the park for his side, as was the case against Mauritius recently.

South Africa and Angola will renew their rivalry for spot at the next year’s CHAN tournament in Rwanda and the venue and dates for the two-legged clash is yet to be confirmed.

Mashaba believes the confidence built in the previous games will play a significant role for his boys to do well against their African rivals.

“It won’t be easy against Angola at all, they are not an easy nation to play against and we all know that," said Mashaba.

“They are very strong physically and their combinations are really strong too.

“Let’s just hope that our recent performance rubs off to the next games.

“The past few games really built a strong confidence for the boys and they did absolutely well.

“But I think we’ll have two, three or more weeks to prepare for Angola.”
