Mabokgwane: We have a strong team

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane tells Sport24 they have a strong squad to take on Mauritius on Sunday in their CHAN qualifier second leg.

Mabokgwane said that they had the same situation in the first leg at home - and they won the game 3-0, and he believes they can do it again this afternoon.

Mabokgwane will be on the bench for the game, with Itumeleng Khune starting and captaining the side.

"We have a strong team," the Mpumalanga Black Aces 'keeper said.

“We have the players who can win games for the team and today we will play as if we didn't win at home in the first game. We want to win today.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
